1 Year with the Pixel 9 Pro

How I feel about my Google Pixel 9 Pro, after 1 year of use.

It has been a year since I got my Pixel 9 Pro, and I still love it! I wrote about my first impressions last year, so I thought it was worth doing a follow up now that I have actually lived with it for a while.

The Camera

Still incredible honestly. I have taken countless photos over the past year and it has not let me down once. Here are some recent ones I am really happy with!

The long exposure shots especially have been really fun to play around with :3

Android

Being able to use things like ReVanced and just tinker with the phone has been great. It is one of the things I missed most when I was on iPhone and it is still one of my favourite things about being on Android. I do not think I could go back.

Battery & Performance

Battery life is still fantastic, I regularly end the day with a good chunk left even with heavy use. Performance is generally fine although I have noticed it can get pretty laggy in web browsers like Firefox sometimes, which is a bit annoying. Not toooo annoying but worth mentioning.

The One Regret

I really should have gotten more storage. I have been running into issues with space more and more as the year has gone on, especially with how large the RAW photos are. If you are buying one, just get the higher storage option!!!

Durability

I have cracked it a few times because I am an idiot :') My dbrand case and screen protector have genuinely saved it from being in a much worse state than it is, so those have been well worth it.

Final Thoughts

A year in and I have no real complaints beyond the storage situation and occasional browser lag. I will definitely be sticking with Android going forward, and when the time comes to upgrade I will probably just get the next Pixel!
